FISO to supply transformer monitoring solution to Weidmann

WEIDMANN Electrical Technology, a global supplier of transformer insulation systems, diagnostic products and services and logistics solutions, has entered into an agreement with FISO Technologies (FISO) whereby FISO will supply a fibre optic monitoring system designed specifically for WEIDMANN.

 

WEIDMANN Electrical Technology, a global supplier of transformer insulation systems, diagnostic products and services and logistics solutions, has entered into an agreement with FISO Technologies (FISO) whereby FISO will supply a fibre optic monitoring system designed specifically for WEIDMANN.

According to the press release, WEIDMANN engineers worked closely with FISO to develop the transformer monitoring solution which uses Gallium Arsenide technology.

“Partnering with WEIDMANN gives FISO a broader market reach,” said Fred Borne, general manager of FISO, a Canada-based provider of fibre optics sensors used in electrical transformers.
