Hydrodec makes first transformer oil sales from rebuilt Canton plant

United Kingdom, London: After the transformer oil refiner Hydrodec Group PLC announced commissioning of the rebuilt, improved and expanded oil refinery in Canton, Ohio, USA, in June this year, the company has reported a successful return to the US transformer oil market with sales of its oil to the US and Mexican markets.

 


United Kingdom, London: After the transformer oil refiner Hydrodec Group PLC announced commissioning of the rebuilt, improved and expanded oil refinery in Canton, Ohio, USA, in June this year, the company has reported a successful return to the US transformer oil market with sales of its oil to the US and Mexican markets.

The rerefinery at Canton in Ohio has been producing transformer oil since September and is on track to deliver 10 million litres of processed oil this year, reports London South-East.

The refinery is expected to become cash generative from an operating perspective by the end of 2015.

“We are confident that the rebuilt and expanded plant has a unique market proposition and will be well placed in 2016 to leverage the production of the highest quality transformer oil produced in the US, meeting all US and international standards,” Chief Executive Ian Smale said in a statement.
