Haryana to commission 215 additional substations

India, Chandigarh: Haryana state government has revealed plans of commissioning and expansion of hundreds of new and existing substations of various capacities in the next three years in order to strengthen the power transmission and distribution system in the state.

 


India, Chandigarh: Haryana state government has revealed plans to commission and expand hundreds of new and existing substations of various capacities in the next three years in order to strengthen the power transmission and distribution system in the state.

A total of 215 new substations with power transformers and associated electrical equipment will be set up along with the expansion of 418 existing substations and addition of 3,171-km of new transmission and distribution lines, reports Niti Central.

Also, nearly $60 million has been approved under Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for strengthening of the distribution system in urban areas in the state.
