United Kingdom: Megger has launched new MTO250 transformer ohmmeters specifically designed to measure the resistance of all types of magnetic windings, and with the capability of testing two windings simultaneously.
United Kingdom: Megger has launched new MTO250 transformer ohmmeters specifically designed to measure the resistance of all types of magnetic windings, and with the capability of testing two windings simultaneously.
The new ohmmeters are suitable for field and factory testing of current transformers, potential transformers and power transformer windings, Megger states in the press release.
According to the manufacturer, the new instruments support the use of test currents up to 50A, thus reducing the time needed to test high-current secondary windings by as much as ten times compared with standard instruments that have a maximum test current capability of 10A.
The instruments incorporate a comprehensive range of safety features to protect the user and the asset under test.
