Transformer failure set AEP Gavin Plant on fire
USA, Ohio: Fire crews battled flames and heavy smoke at the American Electric Power's Gavin Plant in Cheshire, Ohio on Sunday afternoon.
USA, Ohio: Fire crews battled flames and heavy smoke at the American Electric Power’s Gavin Plant in Cheshire, Ohio on Sunday afternoon after a catastrophic transformer failure set the plant on fire.
According to Middleport Fire Department, firefighters from several departments were called to the plant to fight the fire which also spread to a second transformer, reports WSAZ.
Earlier this year, there was also a fire involving one of the same transformers.
