2 workers die in accident at SPX transformer plant

Emergency crews were called to the plant at about 6 p.m. on Monday after an employee working in a large transformer became unresponsive. Two colleagues who entered the transformer in an attempt to help also became unresponsive.
The third employee was rushed to hospital.
It was not immediately known how the accident took place, though reports indicated that at least one of the employees may have fallen into a transformer.
The incident is under investigation.
