Eltel to fully rebuild two substations in Sweden

HELSINKI, Finland: Eltel, a European provider of power infrastructure services, has won a contract for a full rebuild of two 130 kV substations in Sweden – Söderåsen and Mörarp owned by E.ON Elnät Sverige AB.

 


HELSINKI, Finland: Eltel, a European provider of power infrastructure services, has won a contract for a full rebuild of two 130 kV substations in Sweden – Söderåsen and Mörarp owned by E.ON Elnät Sverige AB.

The substation contract valued at €13 million ($14 million) is a turnkey project comprising of design supply, installation and commissioning of all equipment, including power transformers, as well as civil works and decommissioning of the existing substations, reports Business Wire.

Besides the rebuild of the substations, there is a step-by-step energisation scheme where existing parts of the substations are phased out and new parts are phased in. This scheme is critical to maintain and guarantee uninterrupted operation of the vital substations.
