KEPCO to build digitized power substation in Bhutan

Korea: Korea Electric Power Corp. announced that the company will be designing and building a digitized power substation in Bhutan.

 


Korea: Korea Electric Power Corp. announced that the company will be designing and building a digitized power substation in Bhutan.

Under the $26 million contract signed with Bhutan Power Corp., KEPCO will replace outdated 220 kV outdoor substations in the southern city of Phuntsholing with automated facilities and new equipment, including power transformers, by 2018, reports The Korea Herald.

KEPCO said that the majority of the equipment will be manufactured by Korean producers.
