Russia, Moscow: MOESK has completed a major reconstruction of the 220 kV Central Substation increasing its capacity by 30%.

 


Russia, Moscow: MOESK has completed a major reconstruction of the 220 kV Central Substation increasing its capacity by 30%.

Modernisation took place in several stages and included installation of a 250 MVA autotransformer and new 220 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), reports Chertanovo Severnoe.

In the second stage, two new power transformers of 80 MVA each were installed to replace two 63 MVA transformers.
