Delhi augments transformation capacity by 740 MVA

India, Delhi: In an attempt to augment the city’s transmission network, the Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) has commissioned six projects, completed at a cost of $20 million, which have increased Delhi’s transformation capacity by 740 MVA.

 


India, Delhi: In an attempt to augment the city’s transmission network, the Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) has commissioned six projects, completed at a cost of $20 million, which have increased Delhi’s transformation capacity by 740 MVA.

As part of the upgrade, the DTL has completed installing new power transformers and bays at five locations, and laying cables in another, reports The Hindu.

At four substations located in Khanjhawala, Bawana, Pappankalan 1 and 2, 220 kV power transformers of 160 MVA each have been installed.

In addition, a 100 MVA power transformer and four bays of 66 kV have also been installed at the substation in Sarita Vihar.

The projects are set to benefit six Assembly constituencies and their adjoining areas, including Palam, Bawana, Shakur Basti, Mundka, Matiala and Okhla.
