Transformers with special PD requirements successfully tested
Germany: Siemens has tested four 250 MVA/500 kV transformers with special and very high partial discharge requirements for the customer the electricity transmission company Transelec, Chile.
Germany: Siemens has tested four 250 MVA/500 kV transformers with special and very high partial discharge requirements for the customer the electricity transmission company Transelec, Chile.
The four power transformers were ordered for Transelec’s project of the Alto Jahuel substation to further increase the grid stability and maximize energy transport capacity, Siemens stated in a press release.
The delivery of the transformers is scheduled for July 2016.
Transelec earlier purchased Siemens’ 250 MVA/500 kV auto transformers for the Polpacio substation.
