It’s official: The oldest tap changer still in service anywhere in the world can be found at the UNIPER oil-fired power station in Ingolstadt. 

It is an OILTAP® DIII produced in 1950 by Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR). This tap changer is evidence of the one-of-a kind reliability and durability our products have. With regular maintenance, they still work smoothly after 65 years.
