The governments of Rwanda and Japan signed a financing agreement worth $18.4 million aimed at boosting electricity distribution network in the City of Kigali, Rwanda.
The financed projects will include construction of Ndera substation and the Murindi and Kabuga electric substations, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, both in Gasabo District, according to Rwanda’s minister for finance and economic planning, reports New Times.
The funds will be used for the procurement and installation of the equipment at the facilities, which will help stabilise energy distribution within the capital and surrounding areas.
