Abengoa wins transmission project in Oman

Abengoa has been awarded a transmission contract by the Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OTEC) for the construction of two new electric substations and the associated transmission lines in Northeast Oman.

 


Abengoa has been awarded a transmission contract by the Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OTEC) for the construction of two new electric substations and the associated transmission lines in Northeast Oman.

Under the contract, Abengoa will be responsible for the construction, supply, assembly, and commissioning of two new substations 132/33 kV, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, one located in Samad and the other in Sinaw.

The construction project is expected to last for two years. Abengoa will subcontract local businesses for specific tasks on the project, according to the company press release.
