India: Another 1200 kV single-phase auto transformer has been commissioned and put in no-load operation at POWERGRID’s test station in Bina, India.
India: Another 1200 kV single-phase auto transformer has been commissioned and put in no-load operation at POWERGRID’s test station in Bina, India.
The 1200 kV test station has been developed along with a short 1200 kV transmission line on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, and the 333 MVA, 1150/√3/400/√3/33 kV 1-phase transformer has been contributed to the project to form part of the bank of 1000 MVA.
This transformer, manufactured by T&R India, is presently kept under idle charging and is expected to be loaded after synchronization of the test station with the Grid.
Prior to T&R, several other Indian transformer manufacturers have also supplied and commissioned 1200 kV transformers at POWERGRID’s 1200 kV test station in Bina.
