United Kingdom, Kent: Lorries carrying huge power transformers are set to cross the Dartford Crossing, a major road crossing of the River Thames.

Seven 430-tonne loads will be using the river link intermittently until 22 May, while the first two transformers travelled on 20 March and 9 April, reports News Shopper.

The seven transformers will be moved over seven nights over a series of weekends, from Littlebrook Power Station to Thamesport on the Isle of Grain, Kent.

The next crossing will take place on 17 April, and other scheduled transits are: Saturday 7 May, Sunday 15 May, and Sunday 22 May, with three more movements to yet be confirmed.
