Tulenergo upgrades Central substation with 40 MVA transformer

Russia, Tula: Tulenergo is upgrading the 110 kV Central substation in the city of Tula, which provides electricity to than 60% of consumers in the central district of the city.

 


Russia, Tula: Tulenergo is upgrading the 110 kV Central substation in the city of Tula, which provides electricity to than 60% of consumers in the central district of the city.

As part of the reconstruction, the existing 25 MVA power transformer will be replaced with a new 40 MVA transformer, reports EnergyLand.

Other upgrades include installation of a new 110 kV gas-insulated switchgear and circuit breakers, relay protection, communication automation and remote control equipment.

The upgrade is expected to enhance the reliability of power supply and create an additional reserve for the development of Tula.
