USA, Pikeville: Kentucky Power has completed two substation upgrade projects totalling about $15 million near Elkhorn City and Pikeville, bolstering reliability in eastern Kentucky.
USA, Pikeville: Kentucky Power has completed two substation upgrade projects totalling about $15 million near Elkhorn City and Pikeville, bolstering reliability in eastern Kentucky.
Between them, $11 million was invested into the upgrade of the Breaks substation, which included installation of a new high-voltage power transformer and three circuit breakers, as well as an improved distribution bank and control building, reports Hazard-Herald.
The old substation will be removed later this year.
