Croatia, Zagreb: Croatia’s Minister of Economy officially put into operation the newly built 110/10 (20) kV transformer substation Ferenščica, whose construction was led by KONČAR – Power Plant and Electric Traction Engineering (KET), the main contractor.

The electrical equipment, including distribution and special transformers, switchgear, medium voltage apparatus, low voltage switches and circuit breakers, was provided by other KONČAR companies, the company said in a statement.

Located in the residential area, the new substation was built as a compact closed unit, with a basement and three other floors, and is fully integrated into the highly urban environment.

The substation is part of the investment made by the Croatian utility HEP Distribution System Operator.
