New substation commissioned at Leningrad NPP

Russia: A new electrical substation has been commissioned and put into operation at the site of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant under construction.

 


Russia: A new electrical substation has been commissioned and put into operation at the site of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant under construction.

The new 110/10 kV substation consists of a 110 kV, 25 MVA power transformer, a 110 kV indoor switchgear, and substation control equipment, reports RusCable.

The substation will serve as a backup facility and source of power for the key objects of the nuclear plant in case of a power failure.
