APTRANSCO installs new transformers

India, Andhra Pradesh: The state transmission company APTRANSCO is preparing for commissioning of three 132 kV substations at Bhavanipuram, Rangannagudem, and Chigurukota in June as part of its infrastructure expansion in Krishna district.

 


India, Andhra Pradesh: The state transmission company APTRANSCO is preparing for the commissioning of three 132 kV substations at Bhavanipuram, Rangannagudem, and Chigurukota in June, as part of its infrastructure expansion in Krishna district.

The three substations are being upgraded with new power transformers with an increased capacity from 31.5 MVA to 50 MVA, reports The Hindu.

These upgrades are in addition to the new 160 MVA, 220/132 kV transformer installed at Kondapalli substation.

The company is also building a new 220 kV substation, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, at Nuzvid.
