Khabarovsk airport powering up with new transformer

Russia, Khabarovsk: The Khabarovsk branch of a Russian utility company DRSC is entering the final stages of the reconstruction of the 110 kV substation which feeds the Khabarovsk airport boundary.

The final stage of the construction is the installation of the third 25 MVA, 110 kV power transformer, reports Amur Media.

The new equipment will increase the total capacity of the substation to 16 MW, which will meet the energy demands of the reconstructed Khabarovsk airport terminal and its expanded commercial zone.

The total cost of the substation upgrade is over $2.6 million and the civil works are expected to be completed by mid-June.
