Siemens wins $17M transformer station contract in Bangladesh

Bangladesh, Dhaka: Siemens has been awarded a $17 million order from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) to design, procure, supply and install a gas-insulated switchgear substation and power transformers at Keraniganj, Dhaka.

 


Bangladesh, Dhaka: Siemens has been awarded a $17 million order from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) to design, procure, supply and install a gas-insulated switchgear substation and power transformers at Keraniganj, Dhaka.

According to the contract, the company will design, procure, supply, install, test and commission a 230/132 kV gas insulated switchgear substation along with 132/33 kV power transformers with the capacity of 225/300 MVA and 50/75 MVA, reports The Economic Times.

The new substation will enable PGCB to enhance the national transmission grid stability and provide better service to consumers across Bangladesh.
