Singapore Power places order for five shunt reactors
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won an order from Singapore Power (SP) PowerAssets for the supply of five shunt reactors to be installed in three SP PowerAssets substations.
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won an order from Singapore Power (SP) PowerAssets for the supply of five shunt reactors to be installed in three SP PowerAssets substations.
The contract scope includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of three 400 kV shunt reactors and two 66 kV tertiary shunt reactors, as well as ancillary equipment, power cable and accessories, the manufacturer said in a statement.
The equipment will support SP PowerAssets in providing capacitive reactive power compensation to transmission and distribution lines and cable systems.
The project is scheduled for commissioning in 2019.
