19 shunt reactors and 3 transformers ordered for two projects in India

India, Kolkata: Alstom T&D India has been awarded two contracts with a total value of $30 million from Power Grid Corporation for substation projects in Madhya Pradesh.

 


India, Kolkata: Alstom T&D India has been awarded two contracts with a total value of $30 million from Power Grid Corporation for substation projects in Madhya Pradesh.

As part of the first contract, the manufacturer will set up a substation at Rewa and supply three 500 MVA power transformers and one 125 Mvar shunt reactor at 400 kV level, reports The Economic Times.

The second project includes the installation, testing and commissioning of 16 single-phase shunt reactors of 110 Mvar at 765 kV level, and two three-phase shunt reactors of 80 Mvar at 400 kV level, as part of Gadarwara Part A transmission system project in Madhya Pradesh.

Both projects will facilitate evacuation of power and add to availability of electricity in the central region.

All equipment will be manufactured at company’s facilities in India.
