India, Kolkata: Indian transformer manufacturer Marsons is planning to develop centres of knowledge equipped to provide formal industrial training to individuals looking to work in the transformer manufacturing sector.

The so-called “knowledge boxes” will be designed to provide industry specific training focusing on the transformer sector, and the company will follow it up with confirmed work placement for the candidates, reports Live Mint.

Marsons is hoping to align itself to the Skill India initiative and is about to gain recognition from the National Skill Development Corporation, which will enable the company to seek funds to further expand this initiative on a national level.

The first knowledge box has been finalized at Pune, where Marsons’ first franchise is also operational.
