Far East Airport substation powers up with a new transformer

Russia, Far East: Khabarovsk airport substation is undergoing a comprehensive reconstruction, performed by the Khabarovsk Electrical Networks has been upgraded with a third power transformer.

As part of the upgrade, the third 110 kV power transformer has been installed, which will increase the capacity of the substation by 25 MVA, reports Amur Media.

The substation upgrade is part of the ambitious Khabarovsk airport expansion project, which is aiming to become one of the largest international airline hub in the Far East over the next four years.

The upgrade will ensure the extra power capacity needed for the airport expansion, and allow connection of new consumers.
