PMTT tests first four transformers for the largest European HPP

Russia, St. Petersburg: Russian transformer manufacturer Power Machines - Toshiba. High-voltage transformers (PMTT) has successfully tested the first four autotransformers manufactured for Volzhskaya HPP substations, which are being modernized by RusHydro.

 


Russia, St. Petersburg: Russian transformer manufacturer Power Machines – Toshiba. High-voltage transformers (PMTT) has successfully tested the first four autotransformers manufactured for Volzhskaya HPP substations, which are being modernized by RusHydro.

The four transformers rated at 500 kV and with the capacity of 267 MVA each are now being shipped to the customer, the manufacturer said in a statement.

The company is also finishing production of the two remaining transformers for this largest European hydro power plant, with the delivery scheduled for the third quarter of 2016.
