New distribution transformer meters to check power theft
India, Noida: The power department is in the process of installing distribution transformer meters on the transformers across the city in an attempt to monitor electricity theft in the city.
India, Noida: The power department is in the process of installing distribution transformer meters on the transformers across the city in an attempt to monitor electricity theft in the city.
“With these meters we can monitor the power consumption of the consumers as well as supply. The distribution transformer meters will enable us to check how much energy is supplied and used on a daily/monthly basis,” said Mukul Singhal, superintending engineer at the distribution company PVVNL.
