Lipetsk substation receiving three new power transformers
Russia, Lipetsk: Russian utility company Lipetskenergo is investing close to $4 million in the reconstruction of a Lipetsk Railway Substation.
Russia, Lipetsk: Russian utility company Lipetskenergo is investing close to $4 million in the reconstruction of a Lipetsk Railway Substation.
In the first stage of the project, the 110 kV substation, originally built in 1970, is being upgraded with a new 40 MVA power transformer, replacing the old 20 MVA transformer, reports Energy Land.
In the next stage, to be implemented in 2017, another two transformers with the capacity of 20 and 25 MVA will be replaced with two new 40 MVA transformers.
The Railway Substation provides electricity to the central and north-western part of the city of Lipetsk, including the Gagarin and Moscow Central Clinical Hospital and the train station.
