The Netherlands, Breukelen: Tennet has successfully complete the second part of the transformer transport to its new Breukelen Kortrijk substation.

The large transformer that started its journey two weeks ago from the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal towards the highway A2 has been successfully delivered to the station under construction, stopping the traffic on the A2 and causing six other traffic halts, reports Vechtstroom.

The Dutch transmission system operator is building the 380/150 kV substation Breukelen Kortrijk to create a link between the national 380 kV grid and the regional 150 kV grid, which is urgently required to ensure the supply in the provinces of Utrecht, Flevoland and Gelderland in case of emergency.
