Energy-efficient transformer transported to Meitingen substation

Germany, Bavaria: LEW distribution network has transported a new 110/20 kV transformer to the Meitingen substation.

 

Germany, Bavaria: LEW distribution network has transported a new 110/20 kV transformer to the Meitingen substation.

According to the LEW distribution network, this new unit is an additional transformer required to meet the further increase in feed-in capacity due to photovoltaic and wind energy installations in the Meitingen region, reports Augsburger Allgemeine.

The transformer, weighing around 72 tonnes, is energy-efficient with low emission and low losses.
