GE to deliver transformers for the Thai transmission grid

Thailand, Bangkok: The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has signed two contracts with GE for the delivery of 220 kV power transformers and 500 kV shunt reactors.

 


Thailand, Bangkok: The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has signed two contracts with GE for the delivery of 220 kV power transformers and 500 kV shunt reactors.

Installed within EGAT’s transmission network, the new transformers will support the reinforcement and expansion of EGAT transmission system, according to a press release by GE.

In addition to this, EGAT and GE Energy Connections have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the collaborative work for the digital services platform to provide EGAT with full visibility of their assets in the transmission network.
