Tula powers up with a new 40 MVA transformer

Russia, Tula Oblast: Tulenergo has completed the first phase of a comprehensive reconstruction of the Central substation in Tula, which feeds power to a large number of industrial and residential customers in this Russian city.

 


Russia, Tula Oblast: Tulenergo has completed the first phase of a comprehensive reconstruction of the Central substation in Tula, which feeds power to a large number of industrial and residential customers in this Russian city.

As part of the upgrade, the existing 25 MVA unit has been replaced with a new 40 MVA transformer, according to local Russian media.

The first phase of the works also included installation of a 110 kV gas-insulated circuit breaker, as well as new relay protection, automation and remote communication system.
