Philippines, the Visayas: A 6.5-magnitude earthquake that hit the islands of Visayas last week damaged four out of six transformers Ormoc City in Leyte, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

However, the Energy Development Corp. reported that all transformers in the Ormoc substation sustained severe damage, reports The Manila Times.

NGCP said there is no definite schedule yet on when power supply will be restored in quake-hit areas, but they are currently repairing one transformer which will be ready to receive power supply from Cebu once it is fixed, reports ABS-CBN.

NGCP will move two transformers from Compostela Valley and Cebu to Ormoc to replace the broken ones.

The process will take two weeks and is expected to be completed by July 31.
