Ukraine, Kiev: Bank Arcada is set to build a 110 kV substation in the Osokorky area of Kiev by the end of 2018.

According to Kyivenergo, there are also plans to start the construction of another 110 kV substation, Slavutych substation, in 2019, with the total capacity of the two substations being 252 MVA, reports Open4business.

Kyivenergo noted that “more than 40 emergency power outages occurred in Darnytsky district during 2017 because of the overloading of transformers of the 110 kV Osokorky substation, built in the early 2000s.”

“The construction of the 110 kV Arcada substation in Osokorky was started last year and its commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2018. The Slavutych substation will be built in 2019. Thanks to the two new substations, not only the residents of the previously built high-rise buildings, but also about 30,000 future owners of housing in new neighbourhoods will be provided with a stable and reliable electricity supply,” Open4Business cites the press statement.
