ABB has unveiled a new power transformer at the 2018 Hanover Fair, which, according to the company, will be the world’s first integrated solution for digitally enabled power transformers.
ABB has unveiled a new power transformer at the 2018 Hanover Fair, which, according to the company, will be the world’s first integrated solution for digitally enabled power transformers.
The new solution means that all power transformers leaving ABB factories will soon come enabled with digital capabilities, enabling remote monitoring and data analytics of its vital parameters in real time, the company said in the press release.
The company also announced the launch of a new service solution that deploys a submersible transformer inspection robot, which can be maneuvered through a liquid-filled power transformer to perform internal inspection that can be shared remotely close to real time with global experts.
