Brazil requires $30.8B investment in transmission projects by 2026

India: India’s power transmission company Sterlite Power has won six new transmission concessions in the recently concluded auction for transmission projects in Brazil, which is an investment worth around $1 billion.

 


India’s power transmission company Sterlite Power has won six new transmission concessions in the recently concluded auction for transmission projects in Brazil, which is an investment worth around $1 billion.

Commenting on this occasion, Group CEO of Sterlite Power, Pratik Agarwal said, “Brazil requires an incremental 61,800 km in transmission lines, and an increase of 199,200 MVA capacity. This translates to an investment of $30.8 billion in the ten-year period (2017-26),” reports T&D India.

Aragwal also said the company has already committed $1.7 billion of the planned $4 billion in the region, and plans to form global partnerships to execute its global portfolio of projects.
