UGL wins transmission contract to connect Prominent Hill Mine to the grid

Australia: Australian power infrastructure company UGL has been awarded a power transmission contract by ElectraNet to supply high-voltage substations and transmission lines that will connect the Prominent Hill Mine to the South Australian electricity grid.

 


Australia: Australian power infrastructure company UGL has been awarded a power transmission contract by ElectraNet to supply high-voltage substations and transmission lines that will connect the Prominent Hill Mine to the South Australian electricity grid.

Under the contract, the company will be responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the substation infrastructure and approximately 300 kilometres of high voltage transmission lines, reports Compelo.

The project is valued at $127.6 million.
