L&T gets $144M power transmission contracts

Larsen and Toubro said they have gotten contracts for their power transmission and distribution business worth over $144 M including their Bengaluru and Mumbai metro projects.

 


India: Larsen and Toubro (L&T) said they have gotten contracts for their power transmission and distribution business worth over $144 M (Rs 1,000 crore) including their Bengaluru and Mumbai metro projects.

The engineering and construction company received two orders from Andhra Pradesh in India. The first one is for the design and construction of two 400 kV substations and transmission lines, part of the 400 kV ring network implemented to ensure uninterrupted power supply to Amaravati, the state’s new capital city. The second one is for the construction of a 15 MW grid-connected, floating solar farm, being executed as part of the Visakhapatnam Smart City project.

L&T also received an order to construct receiving substations and voltage cables from grid stations for the second phase of the Bengaluru metro and for the power supply system and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) works for Mumbai Metro Line 7 stretch.
