India, Gurugram: DHBVN, the Indian distribution company, has installed around 200 transformers in the city of Gurugram over the last three months.

Each transformer has 200 kVA capacity and has been installed as part of DHBVN’s drive to increase the capacity of the power infrastructure. The combined value of these transformers is half million dollars.

Officials mentioned that the annual demand graph has risen year after year and that their goal was to enhance carrying capacity of power infrastructure.

They also said that in many cases transformers were replaced, while in others, new ones were installed.

“We are expecting demand to soar in 2019. Our goal was to enhance carrying capacity of power infrastructure. Every transformer has a load meter attached to it, which not only allows us to regulate power, but also to monitor ebb and flow in the demand. We’re hoping to have better power supply in 2019,”said an official.
