$20 M transmission line project in Egypt

Elsewedy Electric has been awarded two engineering, procurement, and construction contracts worth $19.8 M by Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company.

 


Egypt: Egyptian Exchange-listed Elsewedy Electric, a wires and cables service provider, has been awarded two engineering, procurement, and construction contracts worth $19.8 M by Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of the 100 km Qusser-Marsa Allam-Bernes 220 kV overhead transmission lines.

As part of the first contract, valued at $9.5 M, the Egyptian firm will construct a 50 km long transmission line of 220 kV, while the second contract, valued at $10.3 M, will see the construction of another 50 km transmission line, also with a 220 kV capacity.

Both the contracts will be implemented over a period of six months, starting from the date of contract award.
