The particular wind farm will be installed in the state’s Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties and is slated for commissioning in December 2020. Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems will be the hardware provider, supplying 225-V120 and 25-V110 turbines.

Under the project, Mortenson will be responsible for building access roads, foundations, collection, substation and an operation and maintenance (O&M) building. It will also take care of the turbine installation and tower wiring. The firm noted it will self-perform all civil, foundation, turbine erection, collection and substation construction works.
