Tobias Hansson appointed Senior Vice President of ABB Power Transformers in Europe

Tobias Hansson - new Senior Vice President of ABB Power Transformers, Europe. He will manage cca 2K people in Germany, Spain, Poland Italy, Finalnd and Sweden.

Sweden: Tobias Hansson was appointed Senior Vice President of ABB Power Transformers in Europe, effective January 1 2020.

His responsibilities will include full P/L and business responsibility for all Power Transformer factories in Europe such as Bad Honnef in Gemany, Cordoba in Spain, Lodz in Poland, Monselice in Italy, Vaasa in Finland and Ludvika in Sweden.

He will manage businesses with around 2000 employees and will also maintain his roles as General manager for the Ludvika factory and the site manager for ABB in Ludvika which he assumed in October 2019.

Tobias Hansson holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Luleå University of Technology and began his career at ABB as a trainee in 2002. He has since held several leading positions in ABB’s Power Grid business. He was, among other things, site manager for ABB’s factory and operations in Figeholm for three years and was also site manager for ABB’s transformer operations Bad Honnef and Halle in Germany for three years.
