Chile: Chile will tender $398 M in new transmission projects as part of a push to expand transmission capacity in the power grid to increase its robustness and to handle a significant pipeline of renewable generation plans.

In the national transmission system, the projects include 25 expansions of substations and transmission lines and one new project: the La Invernada substation. In total, the investments are expected to reach $180 M.

Meanwhile, for the zonal transmission system, the projects include 33 substation and transmission line expansions and eight new projects, involving total investments of $218 M. For all projects, construction works are expected to begin in the second half of 2022.
