Power restored in the New York City after transformer fire
Transformer fire left thousands of homes and businesses without it on January 12. All power has been restored to residents of the Rockaways, Queens, NYC.
US: All power has been restored to residents of the Rockaways, Queens, NYC after a transformer fire left thousands of homes and businesses without it on January 12.
The flames broke out at Beach Street and Beach Channel Drive.
It took about an hour and half for crews to get the power back on for most people who had lost it.
It’s still not clear what caused the transformer fire.
