UK: Contractors have recently completed work on the exterior of the new $22 M (£17 M) facility, which has been delivering power to homes and businesses in St. Helier since late 2018 when it was joined to the Jersey Island’s network.

The substation, built by specialist French contractors Engie INEO, will relieve pressure on supplies to 80 % of St. Helier – around 13,000 customers whose electricity previously came from the substations at Queen’s Road and the Esplanade.

Jersey Electricity has also confirmed that it will be supporting an education programme run by the National Trust for Jersey for the next three years.
