Bulgaria’s ESO signs $2.1 M deal for power substation

ESO has signed a $2.1 M contract for reconstruction of Samokov substation with a local consortium led by electrical engineering company El-Test.

Bulgaria, Sofia: Bulgarian state-owned Electricity System Operator (ESO) has signed a $2.1 M (€1.9 M, 3.7 M levs) contract for reconstruction of Samokov substation with a local consortium led by electrical engineering company El-Test.

The deal for the reconstruction of the 110 / 20 kV Samokov substation, located in the south-western part of the country, has been signed on 24 March, ESO said in a notice.

According to registry agency dana, the awarded tie-up comprises El-Test, with 40 % participation, as well as Elia and Etra-El with 30 % each.

The contracting authority has received a total of four offers in the public procurement procedure for awarding the contract, it said.
