NRIC signs $4.2 M for traction substation upgrade

NRIC said that it has awarded a $4.2M (7.5M levs / €3.8M) contract for the modernisation of traction substation Razgrad to a tie-up between two local companies.

Bulgaria, Sofia: Bulgaria’s National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) said that it has awarded a $4.2 M (7.5 M levs / €3.8 M) contract for the modernisation of traction substation Razgrad to a tie-up between two local companies.

The tie-up comprises local companies Valirion and EL-Test, NRIC said in a notice.

The deal was signed on 12 March, according to the notice.

Three bidders submitted offers in the tender for the contract.

According to registry agency data, Valirion owns 60 % interest in the tie-up.
