Belgian grid operator Elia and its German counterpart 50Hertz have issued a tender for transformers and related equipment for offshore wind substations.

Belgium: Belgian grid operator Elia and its German counterpart 50Hertz have issued a tender for transformers and related equipment for offshore wind substations.

The tender scope, published on Tenders Electronic Daily, covers the design, manufacturing, factory testing, supply, delivery, unloading, installation, on-site testing, commissioning and servicing of power transformers, shunt reactors and auxiliary and earthing transformers for Belgian (Elia) or German (50Hertz) offshore substations.

The contract has a duration for a period of six years.

The tender also includes a five-year maintenance contract from the end of the last warranty period under the contract.

The contract is composed of seven lots. An extended description of each Lot is provided in the pre-qualification questionnaire.

Deadline for the receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 15 October.
